Fusing a Bomb Flower to an arrow effectively turns it into a Bomb Arrow, allowing Link to deal massive damage from a safe distance. Fusing a Bomb Flower to a shield for example, will cause attacking enemies to explode upon impact, all while protecting link who is safely blocking with his shield. Since Link can now access his inventory on the fly, he can throw bomb flowers whenever he pleases, and doesn't even have to equip Bombs to use them like he would have in past games.Įven more interestingly, thanks to the new Fuse ability, Link can now combine Bomb Flowers with weapons, shields and even arrows to create powerful explosive items for combat. This is a dramatic change from how they would initially explode after a set period of time, and it gives players a lot more options to put them to use in the process. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is bringing back more familiar (albeit scary) faces as a classic Zelda enemy looks to be a boss in the new game.
One of the most noticeable changes is that Link can now hold Bomb Flowers in his inventory indefinitely after picking one. In Tears of the Kingdom, Bomb Flowers appears to work a bit differently than past iterations.
